International Journal of Coronaviruses
Submit a Manuscript
IJCV accepts manuscripts through three approved routes: ManuscriptZone, the publisher submission form or editorial-office email. Choose one route only so the editorial office can maintain a single manuscript record.
Use ManuscriptZone
Authors who are not signed in will be taken to the secure login page and may create an account.
Open ManuscriptZonePreparation
Have these files and decisions ready
1. ManuscriptZone
Use the journal’s primary workflow to upload files, complete declarations and track decisions.
2. Publisher form
Use the Open Access Pub manuscript form when the portal route is not suitable.
3. Editorial-office email
Email the manuscript and required files, identify IJCV and include the corresponding author’s details.
Use one route only. Do not send the same manuscript through a second route. If a submitted record appears missing, contact the editorial office with the existing manuscript identifier.
- A manuscript that fits the journal’s coronavirus scope and is not under consideration elsewhere.
- A separate title page with author names, affiliations, corresponding-author details and ORCID iDs where available.
- An anonymised review file if double-blind peer review is requested.
- Editable manuscript, figure and table files plus clearly labelled supplementary material.
- A cover letter identifying the article type, principal contribution, scope fit and any related preprint or manuscript.
- Reporting checklist, ethics documents, consent information and trial registration where applicable.
- Data, sequence, structure, code or protocol accession identifiers and an explanation of any restrictions.
- Agreement from every author on the submission, author order, contribution statement and corresponding author.
Review the Aims & Scope and Instructions for Authors before opening the portal. Incomplete or clearly out-of-scope submissions may be returned without external review.
Submission record
Declarations the portal may require
Authorship and contributions
All authors approve the submission and their individual contributions are described.
Funding and competing interests
Identify funding and the funder’s role and disclose relevant financial and non-financial relationships.
Human research and consent
Provide ethics approval, exemption and informed-consent information, including publication consent for identifiable material.
Clinical-trial registration
Supply registry name, identifier and registration date when trial registration applies.
Animal research
State oversight, approval and welfare/reporting compliance where animals are involved.
Data and reproducibility
Provide a data-availability statement and repository links or explain legitimate restrictions.
Biosafety and dual use
Disclose containment, approvals and material misuse risks for relevant infectious or modified biological work.
AI-assisted tools
Disclose substantive generative-AI use. AI cannot be an author, and the human authors remain accountable.
Originality and related work
Identify preprints, conference versions, related submissions and reused material and confirm that duplicate submission is not occurring.
Copyright permissions
Confirm permission for third-party figures, tables, instruments or other protected material not covered by fair quotation.
Editorial pathway
What happens after submission
Receipt and completeness check
The portal records the submission and the editorial office checks required files, declarations and journal selection.
Editorial screening
An editor assesses scope, research question, reporting, ethics and whether the work is suitable for external review.
Independent peer review
Suitable manuscripts enter single-blind peer review, or double-blind review when requested and correctly prepared.
Editorial decision
The editor evaluates the manuscript and reports and communicates a reasoned decision. No acceptance rate or fixed turnaround is promised.
Revision when invited
Authors upload revised files and a point-by-point response. Further review may be required.
Acceptance and invoice
Only after final acceptance is the verified APC invoiced. Payment, membership or a waiver has no influence on the editorial decision.
Production and proof
Accepted source files are prepared for publication. Authors review proofs and answer production queries before the version of record is released.
Account and support
Use the official portal and protect the manuscript record
Account
Create or use an Open Access Pub ManuscriptZone account. Keep sign-in details private and verify that the browser address remains on oap.manuscriptzone.net.
Privacy
Provide only information required for submission and review. Do not place patient identifiers, credentials or sensitive raw data in an unprotected message.
Duplicate records
Do not create parallel submissions by portal, form or email. If a submission appears missing, contact support with the existing manuscript identifier.
Technical help
Email [email protected] for account or submission assistance. If email was used as the manuscript route, keep all follow-up in the same message thread.
Before you continue
Choose one approved route
ManuscriptZone is the primary tracked workflow. The publisher form and editorial-office email are approved alternatives. Use only one route for a manuscript and retain the confirmation or message thread.
