Biography:

​Dr. Kedir H. Abegaz is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and Health Informatics at Near East University, Cyprus. His academic career includes roles as Lecturer at Madda Walabu University (Ethiopia), Research Assistant with the American Cancer Society (ACS-AACR), and Research Consultant at the Ethiopian Ministry of Innovation and Technology. His doctoral research focused on AI-driven ensemble and boosting models for predicting COVID-19 mortality in Eastern Africa, reflecting his expertise in data science, health informatics, and epidemiological modeling. His contributions extend to digital health, statistical modeling, and the integration of AI techniques in health research, with an emphasis on improving healthcare outcomes in resource-limited settings.
