This peer-reviewed journal publishes original research papers and review papers which address all aspects of birds, from their behaviour and ecology to their physiology, taxonomy, and conservation. The journal particularly encourages multidisciplinary studies, including those that integrate different disciplines such as behavioural ecology, conservation biology, ethology and evolutionary biology. 

Note: An Article Processing Charge (APC) is levied to authors to make a research work available open access in International Ornithology.
