Your Roadmap to Publication

This guide covers everything you need to know to prepare a high-quality submission for the Journal of Human Health Research. Following these instructions will expedite the review process and maximize your chances of acceptance.

Manuscript Types

JHHR publishes the following manuscript categories:

Manuscript Structure

Original research articles should follow this structured format:

  1. Title Page: Title, authors, affiliations, corresponding author contact, word count, keywords
  2. Abstract: Structured with Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions sections
  3. Introduction: Background, rationale, and objectives of the study
  4. Methods: Study design, participants, interventions, outcomes, statistical analysis
  5. Results: Findings presented with supporting data
  6. Discussion: Interpretation, comparison with literature, limitations, implications
  7. Conclusions: Key findings and take-home messages
  8. References: Vancouver style formatting
Formatting Requirements

Text Formatting

  • Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format
  • Double-spaced, 12-point font
  • Continuous line numbering
  • Standard margins (1 inch all sides)
  • No embedded figures in text

Figure Requirements

  • Minimum 300 DPI resolution
  • TIFF, JPEG, or PNG formats
  • Clear legends for all figures
  • Separate files from manuscript
  • Permission for third-party images
Ethical Requirements

All research involving human subjects must comply with ethical standards:

Ethics Approval

Studies involving human participants must have approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee. Include approval number in the Methods section.

Informed Consent

Obtain and document informed consent from all study participants. Include a statement confirming consent in your manuscript.

Reporting Guidelines

Follow relevant reporting guidelines: CONSORT for trials, STROBE for observational studies, PRISMA for systematic reviews.

Clinical Trial Registration

Clinical trials must be registered in a publicly accessible registry (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov) before participant enrollment. Include the registration number in the abstract.

References (Vancouver Style)

References should be numbered consecutively in the order they appear in the text:
