Goot Heah Dr Khor MDSc, PHD (University of Malaya)

Dr. Goot Heah Khor is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Sungai Buluh Campus, Selangor, Malaysia, having earned a PhD from the University of Malaya. His research focuses on the molecular pathology of oral squamous cell carcinoma, with particular emphasis on chromosomal aberrations, p53 gene mutations, DNA methylation profiling, and the identification of novel biomarkers through promoter hypermethylation studies. He has contributed extensively to understanding the role of epigenetic alterations and matrix metalloproteinase expression in oral cancer prognosis. His most-cited work, "Overexpression of MMP13 Is Associated with Clinical Outcomes and Poor Prognosis in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma" (2014), has been cited 24 times and underscores his contributions to linking molecular markers with clinical outcomes in oral malignancies.
