Overview

Animal pathogens are microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites that can cause disease in animals. These pathogens can spread from one animal to another, and they can also spread to humans, leading to zoonotic diseases. Animal pathogens can have a significant impact on livestock and pet health, as well as human health. Research has shown that controlling and preventing animal pathogens can improve animal welfare and reduce the risk of food-borne illnesses in humans. Animal pathogens can be managed through various strategies, including vaccinations, biosecurity measures, pest control, and proper hygiene. Understanding the behavior and impacts of animal pathogens is an important part of maintaining animal and human health.
