All co-authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript for submission
Transparent Peer Review Timeline
We believe in transparency throughout the publication process. Here's exactly what happens after you submit your carbohydrate research, with realistic timelines based on our actual performance data.
Initial Screening
Our editorial team reviews your submission for completeness, scope alignment, and technical quality. We check formatting, plagiarism (iThenticate), and ensure all required files are included.
3 daysEditor Assignment
A handling editor with expertise in your specific area of carbohydrate chemistry is assigned. They evaluate the manuscript and select appropriate peer reviewers.
2-3 daysPeer Review
Expert reviewers in carbohydrate chemistry evaluate your work for scientific rigor, novelty, methodology, and significance. Typically 2-3 reviewers provide detailed feedback.
21 daysEditorial Decision
Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor makes a decision: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject. You receive detailed reviewer comments and clear guidance.
28 days totalRevision & Re-review
If revisions are requested, you submit your revised manuscript with a point-by-point response. The editor or reviewers evaluate your changes.
14 daysAcceptance & Production
Once accepted, your manuscript enters production for copyediting, typesetting, and final proofing. You'll receive proofs for approval before publication.
10 daysPublication
Your article is published online with immediate open access. It's indexed in major databases and assigned a DOI for permanent citation.

Submission Guidelines Summary
Before submitting, please review these key requirements to ensure your manuscript meets our standards. Detailed author guidelines are available on our Instructions for Authors page.
Manuscript Format
Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX format. Include title page, abstract (250 words maximum), keywords (5-8 terms), main text with appropriate sections (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions), acknowledgments, references, and figure/table legends.
Chemical Structures & Schemes
Provide chemical structures as high-resolution images (300 DPI minimum) in TIFF or EPS format. Use ChemDraw or similar software for consistency. Number schemes and figures sequentially and reference them in the text.
Spectroscopic Data
Include complete characterization data for all new compounds: 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectrometry, and optical rotation where applicable. Provide raw spectra as supplementary files.
References
Use Vancouver style for citations. Number references consecutively in order of appearance. Include DOIs where available. Ensure all cited works are publicly accessible or properly referenced.
Ethics & Compliance
Declare any conflicts of interest, funding sources, and ethical approvals. Ensure compliance with institutional guidelines for research involving human subjects, animals, or regulated materials.
