Cellular Signaling Pathways

Cellular signaling pathways are networks of molecules that allow cells to coordinate and transmit information across their environment. When a cell receives signals from its environment, these signals are translated into biological changes by these pathways, which control a variety of physiological responses including proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Cellular signaling pathways are essential for normal functioning of the body and aberrant signaling can lead to many diseases, including cancer. Understanding cellular signaling pathways is crucial for developing new strategies for treating and curing a variety of diseases. It has also enabled the development of novel biomedical products, such as vaccines and therapeutics.
