of the TNF-? family TNF-? (Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha) is a family of proteins that are critically important in the regulation of immune responses and inflammatory processes. Its role in the clinical setting is essential in the treatments of a wide range of disorders, including inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and inflammatory bowel diseases. TNF-? also plays an important role in the development and progression of cancer, and its inhibition is used as a major therapeutic tool to control tumor growth and spread. Further, this molecule has been successfully used in modulating the immune system, making it an important tool in the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
